Laura Knight qualified at the European school of Osteopathy in 2004. Prior to this she worked as a staff nurse first in A and E then in the community. After qualifying Laura worked in Oman, she was the only female Osteopath in the country at that time!

She moved to mayfield and opened her first practice in 2007 and quickly developed it into a multi disciplinary clinic.


Osteopaths treat the whole body. Looking at how it’s structure effects the way it functions. Through massage and manipulation Osteopaths aim to rebalance and realign the body. Working with the muscles, joints and nervous system. Most people believe Osteopaths just treat the back but actually they can treat the whole body. 

Ben Leamon is a fully qualified GOsC registered Osteopath, ITEC level 3 diploma in sports massage and foundation degree in Sports Therapy. Ben qualified from the Surrey institute of osteopathic medicine in 2017 with an integrated masters degree.

Since he was 16 Ben been interested in injuries, the human body and helping people with their injuries whether it was a sports, or day to day related injury. He worked in a leisure centre for 5 years and enjoyed giving advice to people who came to the gym or to the swimming pool about injuries they may have been dealing with or rehabilitating through exercise. 

In his spare time Ben enjoys working out, walking and playing rugby.
His favourite past time is chilling with family and friends, either at home, the pub or going on a long walk with his two golden retrievers. Ben also enjoys volunteering at charity events and has volunteered at events such as the London marathon and ride London.

Emily graduated from Teeside University in 2011 having completed her L5 Sports Massage diploma through Sports Performance Services. I’ve been working at Mayfield Osteopaths for 7 years. I offer a wide variety of muscular skeletal treatments as well as ultrasound therapy to assist with chronic medical conditions, sports injuries, work based & postural issues & general wellbeing issues. 

Emily works very closely with the rest of the team to ensure every patient receives the right course of treatment to meet their needs. We have a lovely & dynamic team to support each & every patient.

Helen is our Traditional Acupuncturist here at Mayfield Osteopaths. She studied Acupuncture at the International College of Oriental Medicine in East Grinstead.
Helen also treats joint and muscle pain with massage and to de-stress mind and body or can combine acupuncture with massage depending on the condition being treated.

Helen is at the clinic every Wednesday & Friday and one Saturday per month.
